The Salesians in South Korea ordained three priests and a deacon in January.
After the ceremony, the newly ordained decided to turn the church into a concert hall, cheers and applause included.
Not everyone was happy: "Some have expressed concern that this performance may undermine the sanctity of ordination and the traditions of Catholicism," the creator of the performance admitted in the video below.
He insists that the performance took place separately from the ordination Mass, which was "solemnly celebrated in accordance with Catholic tradition".
It was only after the Mass had ended (but the bishop and his co-celebrants were still present) that the priest and deacon, dressed in liturgical garb, gave a very secular performance to thank those present, "in the tradition (sic!) of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Korea".
According to the author, "it was a moment that reflected the dynamism and energy of a religious order dedicated to youth work".
