The Holy See Press Office has sent an email to accredited media activists for the October Synod claiming that all proceedings are protected by the [famous] "pontifical secret". Accredited media activists wishing to speak to any of the participants must therefore first contact the Synod Secretariat. If the argument invoked were honest, then speaking to Synod participants should be banned altogether.
