Fauxi... been doing this for over 40 years. How do we feel his humanism has handled this prolonged damage?
To paraphrase another misleading trope currently used by those who allow someone else to program their thoughts and dodge any attempt at thinking, "'Gain-of-function' is 'Gain-of-function'".
It‘a just like how they introduced “gay marriage”. They couldn’t prove marriage inequality under the original definition of marriage since there were no laws prohibiting a gay man from marrying a woman or a gay woman from marrying a man. The only way to “prove” inequality would be to change the definition of marriage so that inequality could exist.
This has been happening for a very long time. The philosophy of language is a big deal, and all left wingers study it. It must be rejected, in its entirety, I think, starting with the “inclusive language” that came into vogue in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Freedom can’t survive where words have no intrinsic meaning.

And, that is likely why Fauxi is not stressed on this subject... and wants time spent looking away from the true problem... the weakening of society structured around a cold of little significance (aside from in the news).
