Postscript: I have been (misguidedly) rebuked on private chat by a GTV user, for spreading 'detraction' about Bp Barron. The above links show this not to be the case. The half naked pictures of posing musclemen / 'Word on Fire' staff (including a priest) have been made public by themselves online, so they are the authors of their own misfortune. Everyone - especially bishops - should not just avoid scandal, but even the appearance of scandal. All the 'Clean the Church' blog did, was put these items together in one article, and confirmed the scandal which was already public, and highlighted what type of organisation 'Word on Fire' is - damaged as it is now by sexual misconduct and staff being fired for that. Not to mention the doctrinal error that 'Word on Fire' churns out. It is a service to souls to keep them away from 'apostolates' like this. It was also a massive public scandal - caused by Bp Barron himself - that he glowingly endorsed Fr James Martin's book (see the above LifeSite link for proof and a shot of the book cover). So none of this is calumny, because it is true and verifiable. None of it is detraction either, because it is verifiable and exposing evil, and inappropriate public behaviour by a bishop, for the good of the Church and souls. People need to be warned about Bp Barron and his 'Word on Fire' apostolate. If it were left to the one who rebuked me, everything would be swept under the carpet and even more souls would be deceived and led astray.
