Papal Basilicas: Is the Temperature Raising?

The Roman basilicas will use thermo-scanners, Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni announced on May 14.

The decision was taken by the Secretary of State in view of the resumption of the liturgy after the coronavirus-crisis.

The temperature of the faithful will be measured at least during the bigger celebrations.

To what end? Another excuse to limit attendance? Fill a room with people and their natural body heat will raise the temperature. This isn't rocket science.
