Müller Criticises Theological Competence of Roman Curia
Some people are in charge at the Roman Curia "who understand more about communication and external presentation than they do about theology," Cardinal Müller told Suedkurier.de (30 June).
The publication of a document must be preceded by a scientific penetration of a topic, he said. In contrast, writers of drafts "refer to privately expressed intentions of the Pope as well as to private revelations," Müller noticed.
What he did not say: because of their poor quality, Roman documents are hardly taken note of any more.
