Burglary in Cathedral: Consecrated Hosts Stolen

Cape Town's Saint Mary's Cathedral, South Africa, was broken into in the early hours of Easter Saturday.

The tabernacle and the ciboriums were stolen along with patens, a chalice, microphones, as well as money.

There are Police stationed 24/7 directly opposite the Cathedral. The city is under coronavirus lockdown.

Saint Mary's is the oldest Catholic cathedral in the country, It was designed in the Gothic Revival style.
