Francis accepted on January 13 the resignation of Bishop Kannikadass William Antony, 58, of Mysuru, India. He had been suspended from his duties since January 2023.
The main allegations against him were sexual misconduct and fathering a child.
Monsignor Antony was appointed by Francis in 2017. Almost from the start, he has been at the centre of controversy over alleged links to organised crime.
In 2019 his priests revolted and asked the Vatican to remove him for corruption and financial mismanagement of the diocese.

I'm with you on looking forward to a "Catholic" pope, and I agree that all is possible with God. But tell me, is there any rational reason why you believe that the next Conclave will not support a Francis-look-a-like--or even worse? Most of the voting cardinals, by far, embrace his Modernist theology.

THe usuall Bergoglian meets his end. I'd like to see the next, hopefully Catholic Pope, declare null and void all the bishops appointed by Bergoglio.
