Monsignor Guido Marini Will Be Sent to the Pampa

Monsignor Guido Marini - the Master of Papal Ceremonies - will be named Bishop of Tortona, Italy (280'000 "Catholics"; 100 priests), on August 29, MessaInLatino.it has learned.

The nomination will be announced by Genoa Archbishop Tasca because Marini is a Genoa priest. His previous post will go to Monsignor Diego Giovanni Ravelli. “Mala tempora currunt” (Bad lending), MessaInLatino comments.

Reportedly, Francis told Marini already in 2013 that “the carnival is over,” meaning that he wanted to stop the revival of the liturgy started under Benedict XVI and to return to secularised and boring ceremonies. And Marini obliged.

Let’s do things how we truly want to at last.”
