This very thing is happening all over the place in the Novus ordo church. Parishes merge, and then come up new names for the parishes, and never refer to the church buildings by their proper, formally dedicated names again. That’s more along the lines of what they are referring to here, rather than the name of the greater “ecclesial” entity.
