Ex-Priest Fake-Marries Ex-Slaughterhouse Manger

Jaume Santandreu, 83, a writer, left-wing nationalist, and former priest from Mallorca, Spain, makes a big public fuss about entering a homosexual fake marriage with a certain Miquel Àngel Castell, 58, a former slaughterhouse manager, Ultimahora.es (March 17) reports with tears of commotion.

Santandreu was ordained a priest in 1960 and was a missionary in Peru and Burundi. When the Communist outlaw Che Guevara (+1967) was killed, he rang his church’s bells. In December 2010 he quit the priesthood.

He says that as a youngster, he was “raped by a friar,” an explanation why he believes he is homosexual.

The two don’t hide that their fake marriage is fake. They have known each other since 2001 but have never lived together and don’t plan to do so. Àngel is staying with his mother.

“Two priests have called me to congratulate us,” Santandreu gloats.
