Spain: Every Month A Monastery Closes

88 cloistered monasteries have been closed down in Spain between 2007 and 2016 and the rate accelerates, reports Spanish daily ABC (October 7). In 2016 every month a contemplative monastery died. ABC points out that these numbers do not take into account the closing of apostolic religious communities.

Spain, along with most countries of the world, has lost the faith. Monasteries closing is the logical step to loss of faith. Loss of faith leads to loss of souls. The bishops and priests are responsible. God help them.
