Mass Prohibited: Francis' Centralism Turns Bishop Into Crash-Test Dummy

Fargo Bishop John Folda, 61, North Dakota, told his faithful in January he would ask Rome for permission to keep the Roman Mass at his cathedral, Sara Ray, one of the faithful concerned, reported on social media.

This week, Folda received the, predictably, negative response. Folda will close the doors of the Cathedral for the Mass on September 11.

Possible alternatives include another church or a Novus Ordo Eucharist in Latin at the cathedral, facing God, but no concrete options have yet been discussed.

Folda is "conservative". The pictures below show him in April 2021 at a prayer in front of an abortion clinic in North Dakota.

Another one down: Fargo. Surely, it was a very polite letter.

St Andrew, like all the Apostles did not ask Peter if they could offer the Holy Sacrifice, as it was not Peter's to give.
The Apostles of today are weak silly men who hide behind the sinful abuse of power and call it "obedience" what silly nonsense.
We need to pray that Our Lord grant's this dreadful man on the Chair of Peter a Pauline Conversion before his coming death and judgement and that …More

Not "conservative," just a faithful Catholic... 😊

No grace of state to do the right, Catholic thing. New rite of episcopal consecrations are doubtful.

Francis is apostate antipope who leads sect in buildings that were Church's. See more at vaticancatholic.com

He's a shame.

These bishops can't be that ignorant. There is something not right. He does not have to obey that man at all. Nor should he. If the so called good bishops would all get together and stand up to that brute, this mess would cease to continue. Especially if the priests do the same. Too bad they won't do as Christ wishes them to do.

Its not a Catholic Church anymore, its the "Cult of Francis"

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori Personally, I don't really care. It is all prophesied. So, I will stand back and let Christ do what He must. And I will try my hardest to do what I must. Ignoring that man is the best thing we all can and should do. And the Catholic Church is with us. We keep the faith so when Christ comes again, we will be amoung those that stayed faithful and true to Him and His laws and …More

We keep the faith so when Christ comes again, we will be amoung those that stayed faithful and true to Him and His laws and faith. Bergoglio can have the vatican. I have Christ. Isn't that all that matters anyhow? As Father Hesse once said, he is only the vice president. Christ is the President. In other words, Christ is in control. Not that man who is in the vatican. Besides once again, he is doing what he was put there to do. How can we fully blame him for "trying" to destroy The Holy Catholic Church. If Christ put him there, and if we were warned long ago about it? We should have expected this. And no one should be that angry over it either. This is a way for Christ to help clean up His Church and to purify it later. Don't let him get you down. There is hope and victory in the end. We were chosen for this time. Make sure we were chosen to help and not hurt her further. Or ourselves for that matter.

Thank you. Best advice!

He was looking for an out. With shepherds like this, who needs wolves?

Perhaps they are wolves in sheeps clothing!

He should have stuck to his guns and continued it; if he'd been dismissed, I'm sure many of his parishioners would have supported him practically. Spiritually, it's better to disobey Francis and be faithful to God.
Jeffrey Ade
That is a nice thing to say but it should be obvious he has no guns, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing!
Cassandra Laments
I wasn't trying to be nice - while he's 'obeying' Francis he's disobeying God.
