Abuse Claims As A Pretext To Attack Confession

A Child abuse royal commission in Australia wants to force priests to report details of sexual abuse received during confession. Priests, who fail to report information about child sexual abuse heard during confession, would face criminal charges.

A priest who would obey such a regulation would break the seal of confession, an offence, that implies his removal from the priesthood.

🤫 Not at all because the confessions were public, then we will be forced to return to the public confessions so that there is no crime of concealment of sexual abuse. St. Paul denouncing the case of sexual immorality in Corinthians and everybody know who had been excommunicated "Cast out the wicked from among you." We can not use the sacrament of confession to cover up the sexual abuse of children.

The Royal commission ran by lawyers. What a joke lawyers who are defending criminals do NOT report their clients confessions of the crime they committed, on the contrary they conceal it in order to defend their client in a court of law. What hypocrisy, there needs to be a Royal commission on the Royal Commission.
