French prosecutors closed an investigation (September 14) into allegations blown-up by the oligarchs' media that the former Paris Archbishop Michel Aupetit had committed "sexual assault on a vulnerable person" in 2012 when he was vicar general in Paris.
They concluded that "no offence was committed". Aupetit said in June that "he had never had a sentimental or sexual relationship with the woman in question". Nevertheless, the lie successfully damaged the Church.
When they saw that their hoax was falling apart, the oligarchs tried to construe another "scandal" when Aupetit, a public figure in France, was filmed walking with a woman in a public forest and eating with her in a public restaurant.
Finally, Francis accepted Aupetit’s resignation "not on the altar of truth" - as he said - but to bow opportunistically to the media.
In Francis' Church, the oligarchs and their media activists decide who can become bishop and who not.
