Cardinal Eijk: Roman Catholic Church the Only Institution to Uphold Marriage and Sexual Morality
The Church must proclaim and transmit the Catholic faith, including the teachings on marital morality and sexual ethics, said Cardinal Jacobus Eijk, 71, of Utrecht, the Netherlands, said at a Congress for the Family in Cracow, Poland (November 13-15, reported by the Polish agency KAI).
The Cardinal sees the Catholic Church as "virtually the only institution in the world" that upholds the natural concept of marriage and classical norms in the area of sexuality.
