The unitive and procreative aspects of sexual intercourse are “inseparable”, Francis said in an April 28 message to a Natural Family Planning conference, reaffirming Catholic teaching that confirms that contraception is sinful.
Francis even writes that a counter-sexual revolution is needed and that contraception has impoverished many societies and that some [= many] countries are now in danger of demographic collapse.
It can be ruled out that he will put these nice words into action, much like John Paul II who presented an elaborate moral teaching and then appointed bishops who opposed it.

Bergoglio is simply using Peronist tactics. A Peronist never presents himself as a simple moderate, a compromiser. He always champions positions cherished by one side and hated by the other side. But he will alternate between theses extremes constantly.

For example, one day he will say that the Catholic sexual teaching is "still in diapers." The next day, he will say that "the unitive and procreative ends of marriage" must never be separated.
There is no intellectual coherence to this or any of his positions. Don't waste your time trying to make any sense out of it. Everything he says publicly is for manipulative purposes. He is the deceiver. And is ultimate goal is to destroy the Catholic Church.

A regular zig zag. On the one hand it makes correct statements, only to allow or de facto encourage the opposite.

This was just one of the many times he has read something written by an actual Catholic. It probably means he’s going to do something soon to undermine it.
