Looking closely yes I believe you are correct Live Mike; anytime I see a snake I can never have a positive view as the encounters I've had with them on my property and in dreams. Lets hope the Bronze Serpent sucks out all the venom of sin from the world and sadly within the Church. God Bless and Protect you too

Few things will overcome your loathing of an animal faster than than killing it, skinning it, cooking it and eating it. Snake is (no surprise) very bony, but responds extremely well to slow-cooking in stoneware. Then the meat "falls off the bones". Flavor-wise, it's fairly bland and serves as a wonderful …More

Flavor-wise, it's fairly bland and serves as a wonderful base for marinades and sauces. I predict your dreams will change for the better after a few meals. Seriously, look into this. Spiritually, it's a wonderful Marian devotion -culinary one!. You'll never look at a Miraculous Medal or the statues based on it quite the same way again. The Blessed Mother isn't just symbolically defeating satan. She's getting dinner ready. ;-)
This symbol goes way back. When touring the ruins of Ephesus, there are reliefs of the caduceus to be found. The ruins are from the third incarnation of the city, which goes back to Alexander the Great. St. Paul would have known this symbol, which always amazes me.
