The 191st successor of Saint Benedict is Dead

The former abbot Pietro Vittorelli, 61, of Montecassino Abbey which was founded by Saint Benedict, has been found dead in his Roman apartment. He died of a heart attack.

A trained surgeon, he became the191st successor of St Benedict in October 2007. Francis accepted his resignation in 2013, a year after Vittorelli had suffered a stroke.

In 2015, oligarch media accused him of homosexual fornication and embezzling €500K allegedly used for trips abroad, stays in luxury hotels and dinners at exclusive clubs. These accusations turned out to be a lies.

Vittorelli was a friend of Piero Marrazzo, a former president of Lazio, the region that includes Rome, who was caught with cocaine and a transvestite prostitute in 2009. Following the scandal, Marrazzo resigned and went into a “retreat” in Montecassino for several weeks. That same year, he also left his second wife.

Rest in Peace- but these scandals are typical of the Vatican II Church. Didn't the Francis "church" pick their own Abbot of Montecasino, some guy who wasn;t even a Benedictine and they forced him upon the community? I do know that the Italian Cassinese Benedictine Congregation of monks was suppressed a few years ago....I don't know why.
