@Gloria Thomas: Think of Our Lady as of a postman bringing us the graces from heaven. Did you receive your Christmas gifts from the postman? You didn't. Would you have received the Christmas gifts without the postman: neither. There is no conflict between the Holy Spirit and Our Lady. There is "collaboration".

@Jungerheld: That's a complicated question. This could be an answer: The only reason why God allows sin is, because (despite Amoris Laetitia) we can always do something against it, and by doing so, we even "benefit from sin". So if there are cases when we don't counteract sin, either by believing that it is impossible or by denying the existence of it, then, clearly, we have in some way or the … More

Thank you dear Father Reto for helping me to begin, in earnest, my Christmas preparation.

Here is my question: Fr. Reto tells us that we are to listen to the voice of God, the Holy Spirit speaking within us. This is truly the Catholic Faith. But others tell us now we must receive all grace from the Blessed Virgin Mary. Are we to hear her voice? This is a great paradox to me.

Now and forever, praised be Jesus. Thanks be to God for the confirmation of the sweetness of God (unspeakable joy at times) and vivid warnings of the onslaughts of the Devil (indeed, brutal and will torment in every way possible but limited by God's hidden judgements for the salvation of the world. (Please correct me if I'm in error). We're helpless, easily distracted and deceived. Must dwell … More

The importance of "O Antiphons" is twofold: Each one highlights a title for the Messiah: O Sapientia (O Wisdom), O Adonai (O Lord), O Radix Jesse (O root of Jesse), O Clavis David (O Key of David), O Oriens (O Rising Sun), O Rex Gentium (O King of the Nations), and O Emmanuel. Also, each one refers to the prophecy of Isaiah of the coming of the Messiah: ................................. O … More

Nice start to the online retreat.

I have a couple of questions.
First, are we allowed to ask questions regarding the subject matter?
Second, will those questions be answered?
