Severe Church Crisis, And What to Do About It

The crisis of the Faith is evident from the fact that the churches are emptying, Cardinal Robert Sarah told French Aleteia. Sarah concludes from divorce, abortion and euthanasia that the civil society is also disintegrating. Quote: "We are in a difficult situation and the crisis is deep and serious.”

Everybody says something different

For Sarah, the division inside the Church is particularly "tragic." It shows itself in the Church’s doctrine, moral teaching and discipline. Quote: "Everyone says and thinks what he wants." The Church seems to have no doctrine of the Faith and no clear moral teaching anymore.

Fold your hands, and shut up?

As a solution, Sarah proposes to devote oneself to more prayer and to cry out like the apostles in the storm-tossed boat: "Lord, do you care that we perish?" Sarah does not believe that the renewal of the Church comes from structural reforms and activism. According to him, it needs the grace that comes from prayer.

Women can never be ordained

Sarah explains that contemporary pseudo-reformers cannot change the doctrine of the Church because they have not invented it and the Church does not belong to them. For example, the Church has no power to consecrate women as priests. Since the days of the Old Testament, God has chosen only men as priests. For Sarah, the demand for the consecration of women shows a "lack of faith". Even if there were no more priest in the world, the consecration of women would be no option, Sarah adds.

Proselytism” does not exist

When asked how to evangelize since Pope Francis has banned proselytism, Sarah said that the conversion of all peoples and religions is a mission which Christ entrusted to the Church, and therefore it is its "duty". Sarah points out that evangelization is not proselytism. Quote: "I do not know a single missionary who ever forced a people to become Christian.”

Cardinal Sarah is, of course, correct in what he has stated. To clarify one point "Everyone says and thinks what he wants." This is only partially true. Those who are still left and who are still Catholic know the traditions and doctrine of Catholicism and these people will not “say or think what he/she want.” Progressives will.

I would like to be among the first to comment on the new hair style of our lovely and talented news-presenter. Very nice. 👌

While it’s true that people often will get a new haircut when they've just experienced a major life change or are planning a life change, I won’t be so nosy as to pry into your affairs and ask what’s going on?!? 😲

Getting the chop will made you realize that you are more than just the sum of your hair. I humbly predict you will feel prettier (my mother was a hair stylist, so I have a bit of knowledge about these things). The new ‘do’ should provide an intangible quality of being happier in your own skin. Your walk will be more confident and your head held a bit higher, which may attract attention from a few strangers (even in Moldova). 😘

(perhaps a little eyeliner and mascara will make those eyes POP. Sorry, just thinking out loud) 😎 Maybe a touch of lip gloss? 😲

The comments concerning the looks of this news anchor are extremely un-catholic and quite disturbing.
So then, compliments are "un-catholic" and "quite disturbing" in your view? 🤦
It is illustrative of your own negative and degenerate character that you could not compliment the news presenter at all but chose rather to criticize the complements that she did receive.

To summarize:

The history of the Church’s thought on the morality of individuals’ choices of dress and ornamentation has always been guided by social custom and social status. What is the norm in society has always been acceptable, given that a person does not have sinful intentions with his or her mode of dress. It is morally sound to base our decisions in how we dress and present ourselves on the customs of our society given that how we dress respects other people and our own bodies. St. Frances De Sales says in his Introduction to the Devout Life that “propriety in dress consists in material, fashion and cleanliness,” and as “to the material and fashion of clothes, propriety in these respects depends on various circumstances such as time, age, rank, those with whom you associate; and it varies on different occasions.” (III.25) When reflecting on these thoughts and the use of cosmetics, it would seem that there is no problem with a woman choosing to wear makeup to fit in with society. 😎
