@Uncle Joe I will concede that a little fire and brimstone would be welcomed at the pulpit of our Churches, still with the condition that it's truth. And I'm pleased that Mike Pence is aware that there was something missing in his experience of being Catholic (borrowing from Gloria.TV News on the 22nd of July 2016), if we can only move in the right direction (also recommended in Gloria.TV News on the 22nd of July 2016) in discovering what is missing for him and all of the others flocking out of the fold.

Why not? They've tried every other hairbrained idea during mass from Mariachi Bands to dancing the Tango to dressing up for Halloween. Giving the folks a little fire and brimstone by a dynamic speaker
couldn't do any more harm than has already been done. The key is "dynamic speaker" and not some fairy.

He is likely wearing contact lenses. Those in the public eye are highly motivated contact wearers including models, politicians, actors and high school girls.

@Uncle Joe, I'd be all for priests and bishops speaking like this in the public square with the added requirement that they be speaking truth clearly that does not leave one scratching his head! I'm deeply saddened to say this is not a given these days. But people (Mike Pence included) want this in the Mass. Somehow we have come to people looking and no longer able, or perhaps no longer willing, to see they are given the body, blood, soul and Divinity of Christ.
