Often angry, impatient and grumpy, Francis complained in his homily about a Church that complains, is angry or impatient and looks grumpy or “suffers from nostalgia for the past” - as he is nostalgic for the ideology of the 1960s.
The beatification was staged in Saint Peter's Square in presence of a very small crowd, impressive proof that there is no popular veneration for John Paul I although this is a sine qua non for a beatification.
During the liturgy, a handwritten spiritual reflection from 1956 was used as second class relic. At the end of the beatification, Francis warmly greeted cardinals, including Becciu whom he condemned without due process, and Sarah whom he removed as quickly as possible but now theatrically asked about an injury to his right hand.
Every single pope who has died since the announcement of the disastrous Vatican II has been either "canonised" or "beatified" which is an attempt of the Vatican spin doctors to portray the Church's catastrophic downfall since 1965 as a golden age.
