In November 2020, the bishops ended the recognition of the entirely secularised university as Catholic, removing privileges, including financial ones.
However, during the most recent ad limina visit in November 2022, the bishops were informed that the university had regained the title of "Catholic" and appeared in the Holy See's latest catalogue of "Catholic" universities (Zenit.org, 22 December).
The university operates in the diocese of s'Hertogenbosch under anti-Catholic bishop Gerard de Korte, a Francis follower who in the past eliminated his Catholic auxiliary bishop Rob Mutsaerts and Catholic canonist Father Cor Mennen.
When he wants to promote sin, Francis insists on the "jurisdiction" of local bishops, when he wants to fight good, he relies on Roman centralism.
