The Philippine Synod consisting of 200 bishops, clergy and lay people met July 4-7 in Tagaytay City south of Manila.
The intention was to discuss concerns of the Church. However, a video (below) published by Eric Sammons (CrisisMagazine.com) shows how the assembly turned into a kindergarten for adults singing and dancing to the tune “Walking with Jesus - This is the synod way.”
For Sammons, this is a perfect example of why so many young men flee the [infantile] Church.

One of those excruciating moments when one wants to curl up or crawl away because one is so embarrassed for other people. Why would grown-ups even go along with this and make complete fools of themselves? Is it just me or am I starting to see Heil Hitler salutes sneaked in everywhere? Rather limp-wristed ones here, to be honest.
