„Am 50. Jahrestag der 'Happy Peace Operation' ehren wir mit Ehrfurcht, Dankbarkeit und Respekt die heldenhaften Märtyrer und Veteranen unserer tapferen Armee, die die Unterdrückung unserer türkischen Landsleute auf Zypern beendet haben“, hieß es in der Botschaft.
„Wir laden alle unsere zypriotischen Brüder und Schwestern zu der morgigen Parade ein, an der 50 Schiffe teilnehmen werden“, hieß es weiter.

Turkey's Defense Ministry posted a message on social media on Friday to mark the 50th anniversary of the country's invasion of Cyprus with a bellicose warning: “[We] might come as a surprise one night.”
“On the 50th anniversary of the 'Happy Peace Operation', we honor with reverence, gratitude and respect the heroic martyrs and veterans of our brave army who ended the oppression of our Turkish compatriots in Cyprus,” the message read.
“We invite all our Cypriot brothers and sisters to tomorrow's parade, in which 50 ships will participate,” it continued.
The message was accompanied by a video showing an armada and air units approaching a coastline. The video ends with an image of Mehmed II the Conqueror marching into Constantinople, accompanied by film music.
