Exactly @philosopher - just like in the secular realm, the leftist cry to "protect Democracy" is a screen for maintaining total control! All opposing views must be censored as "threats to democracy" !

They like democracy as long as it results in supporting their progressive theology. If a traditional orthodox majority ever came about, they would immediately shut it down justifying it in the name of authority.

Well, that’s what collegiality and religious liberty did at Vatican II. Reading headlines such as that in the OP is kind of like declaring we landed on the moon (ie., old news).
