A Holy Mass according to the Roman Rite was celebrated in the Capitol in Washington D.C., on 23 January, the anniversary of the FBI memo that revealed a witch-hunt against Catholics ("radical-traditionalist Catholic ideology") and insulted them as "violent extremists".
The Arlington Latin Mass Society organised the Holy Mass without the permission of the Archdiocese of Washington. The name of the celebrant was kept confidential to protect him from persecution.
Speaking to PillarCatholic.com, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a former religious liberty lawyer, recalled that he defended the rights of people of faith to maintain their right of conscience and belief, including the right to act on their beliefs.
The Holy Mass, originally scheduled to be held in the Speaker's dining room, was moved to a larger venue.
An estimated 60-70 faithful were present, ranging from infants to octogenarians.

Faithful, traditional Catholics, this is the way to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disregard heretic Pope Francis, ignore your bishops temper tantrums if he is a Francis clone liberal, buy a church which up for sale, or a building that can be converted into a Church. Found new convents, monasteries without any regard for the Francis dictates or his bishops if they persecute us. We are the Church, not them......especially after Francis and Tucho's pro-gay blessings dictates.
