Roman Rite Brings More Fruit

The Roman Mass Benedictine Abbey of Sainte-Marie de La Garde, founded by Le Barroux in 2002, blessed the cornerstone of a new monastery building in Agen Diocese, France, on August 15.

The foundation began with eight monks in an old farm with stables and grew to about 20. It was made an abbey in 2021.

Over the next 16 years, three Romanesque style wings with refectory, chapter house, monks' cells and sacristy (6,000 square metres) will be built (pictured below). The foundations have already been laid.

The refectory will be used temporarily as a chapel.

Beautiful new Abbey. Only good and holiness and many Graces have come from Catholic tradition and the Latin Roman Rite. I don't need to go into a litany of all the evil that has come from Vatican II, and especially the papacy of the last 10 years. The comparison is obvious to anyone who sees objectively.
But unfortunatly, the last 50+ years we have been governed by those who tell us that we are in a "New Springtime" of Vatican II. Believe it or not, there are those, in articles that I have read, who actually believe that their Order going from 5,700 members pre-Vatican II and median age of 38, to 850 members today with a median age of 84 is a good thing!!! (a French member of the "Daughters of Wisdom".
THank God for this abbey and monks, and all monasteries of monks and nuns like it, Roman Rite Churches, parishes, religious Orders and seminaries that floruish everywhere today.
Without them, the Catholic Church would be as good as dead.
