I’m sorry to have to vehemently disagree with you, @CatholicDoors, and you @Roberto 55 and you too @Sam D, because you all are vastly in error here. The darkness that is upon us and the difficulties we face in this world today have been LONG in the making. If you didn’t know it, let me inform you: Holy Mother Church in purpose and in presence, along with all that is godly, has been under unrelenting and unprecedented assault both within and without for many decades now; far longer than before the commencement of Pope Francis’ pontificate. The diabolical works of darkness we see manifested today had their root and foundation in acts perpetrated well before the reign of our current Holy Father and even before that of his predecessor. So it is utter and absolute calumny to allege that Pope Francis “is the one creating” the darkness and difficulty of this hour. Such inane and untruthful splutter by any of the Faithful is abominably shameful and shouldn’t ever be expressed by a true Catholic.

The Holy Father may be many things, but he is not the author of our dilemma. And it is our responsibility as the Faithful to fast and pray for him fervently and do penance, seeking recourse to the Blessed Mother on his behalf. The spiritual - but decisively potent - weapons of the holy rosary, frequent novenas, the Brown Scapular, First Saturday Devotions, constant and continuous acts and works of Charity, pursuing holiness and humility, remaining in a state of grace, and an unrelenting and implacable devotion to the Immaculate Heart - which Our Lady promised would triumph, are our best responses to what we face in our time. Not these incessant, seditious, insidious attacks against the Holy Father, which only serve to demean and denigrate the sanctity of his Office and person; playing right into the foul hands of the Church’s eternal enemies and accomplishing the vile heretical vision of the perennial apostate Luther and his freemason cohorts spawned from the very bowels of hell itself, who have, in their invincible ignorance, always hated and feared the Papacy and all those called to it, forever plotting its overthrow.

Now THAT is the actual greatest work of Satan happening today - the preeminent, highly effective, deviously stunning plot that the Devil implements among the most devout in Christendom during this era, is the deception he vomits out and uses as tricks to turn the hearts of the Faithful against their own Father and Shepherd, abandoning the One and Only human being on this earth who holds the Keys to God’s Kingdom in his hands and who sits on the Throne of Saint Peter as God’s own Representative in the world, the Rock upon whom Christ Himself built the whole Church, giving him and him alone the power and authority to bind “whatsoever” on earth and in Heaven. That is what is at stake here today, and what Satan would have us all to lose and to forsake and to turn against in this hour of our greatest need. He seeks to have us all turn in hellish rebellion against the one and only Helmsman of the Barque of Peter, who is the ONLY one given the task by Christ Himself to hold fast the rudder and steer this Holy Vessel into the Port of Salvation….the ONLY one anointed by Our Lord to guide the whole Ship of Redemption during the crisis of this raging storm on the sea of darkness.

So no, @CatholicDoors, the plight of our day calls for the Faithful to remain spiritually close to our Holy Father, not abandoning him or attacking him, but submitting to him in filial obedience and reverence, with deep affection and loving devotion - in spite of what we see or hear, and regardless of what he says or does. Does he make human mistakes at times because of his human frailties?…yes, just as Saint Peter did during the very first pontificate, and as ALL Popes have done since then. Do we always agree with or understand everything he does or says?…no, we don’t. But as the Vicar of Christ on Earth, the ministry of the Holy Father is more vital and essential now, than at any other time in history. We need the prayers, guidance, discernment and leadership of the Supreme Pontiff of Holy Mother Church more now in this perverse world than ever before. The divinely created Charism and spiritual power of the Petrine ministry is not only indispensable to the Church, it is indispensable to the entire world and every person in it. That is why Satan and all of his demonic and human minions hate and despise all who sit upon Saint Peter’s Throne; because they KNOW without a doubt (even if some of us Catholics forget) that Christ’s Vicar is God’s chief agent for good in this evil and sinful world, and so they HATE him and seek to destroy him, or at the very least, abate his power and influence. But our Lord’s immutable promise to Peter and to all who would succeed him guarantees that such a thing can never happen:

“And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.”
St. Luke 22:31-32

Thus, you must not let Satan fool you, my friend, and use YOU as his tool, fighting against the Holy Father, but let us all join together in unity with him and all the Saints and Angelic Hosts of Heaven in this battle for the souls of men.
