Meet Bishop John Stowe on AlterNet.org

By ramming a far-right Supreme Court nominee through the Senate, President Trump will be offering a giant dose of red meat to his white evangelical anti-abortion Christian right base, the extremist AlterNet.org writes with a racist touch. AlterNet is a radical leftwing outlet which belongs to the leftwing RawStory.com. It finds consolation in the thought that Trump is not universally loved among Christians. Quote, “One of Trump’s vocal critics has been Bishop John Stowe of the Diocese of Lexington.”

Stowe Is Against Abortion BUT…

Pro-Abortion AlterNet.org admits that Stowe is against abortion, BUT for him being “pro-life” goes way beyond – quote – “that issue,” the webpage explains. It is happy to announce that Stowe has stressed “on many issues” that Trump demonstrates that he – quote – “doesn’t value human life.” This raises the suspicion that AlterNet.org – and Stove – are Pro-Life only as long as this excludes the survival of unborn babies in their mothers’ wombs.

Trump Is “Anti-Life” – And Biden?

AlterNet.org quotes a live video chat with the International Catholic Movement for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs in late July, where Stowe said - quote, “For this president to call himself pro-life — and for anybody to back him because of claims of being pro-life — is almost willful ignorance.” For Stove, Trump is – quote – “so much anti-life because he is only concerned about himself, and he gives us every, every, every indication of that.” Granted that this is true - would this be different for any other politician, Joseph Biden included?

No Comment About Biden’s Positions on Abortion?

Bishop Stowe explained that Trump falls short of being “pro-life” on many other issues and that abortion is by no means the only issue Christian voters should be concerned about. He refers to Francis’ – quote – “great definition” of what pro-life means, a definition which includes any number of issues and, thus, distracts from abortion. As a consequence, AlterNet.org points out that Stowe sounds like Joe Biden when discussing abortion. In an op-ed for the Lexington Herald Ledger in January 2019, Stowe wrote against Trump, “We cannot uncritically ally ourselves with someone with whom we share the policy goal of ending abortion.” What is telling about Stowe: He has little to say about Joe Biden’s cruel Pro-Abortion stance.

Roman Catholic Bishop?
Glad I don't live in his diocese.
There are good Presidents and there are good Bishops. In this news brief there is one person that fulfills his office. President Donald Trump!
Holy Cannoli
Stowe’s a poofter.
Should we really care what he thinks? 🤔
