Is Francis Catholic?

“Is the Pope Catholic?” – the French-American publicist Guy Sorman asked recently on City-Journal-org. He referred to Fratelli Tutti, which, he predicts, will not become a bestseller under the Catholics. The encyclical confirms for him Francis’ solid positioning on the left as an ecologist and anti-capitalist. Sorman stresses that poverty has massively diminished around the world. Nevertheless - quote – “the encyclical takes no account of this progress but presses on in the fight with a largely imaginary enemy that Francis, like all leftist intellectuals, calls ‘neoliberalism’.” End of quote.

What Is “Neoliberalism”?

Sorman points out that Francis never defines “neoliberalism” and adds, “No doubt because it does not exist.” In a cursory way, Francis condemns those who believe that “the market solves all problems.” Sorman replies, “I know of no economist, in fact no intellectual, who claims that the market is a universal solution.” Therefore he asks: “Is it Catholic to inflate the myth of neoliberalism in order then to demonize it?”

A Pleasing Myth of the Argetinean Left

Fratelli Tutti recommends in the place of liberalism “production cooperatives.” Sorman calls this “a pleasing myth of the Argentine Left.” He would be happy if a cooperative economy were effective – quote – “but it is not: in economics, good intentions do not necessarily produce the desired results.” In terms of the struggle against poverty, Francis argument is thus untenable for Sorman. His conclusion: Francis prefers a regime with moral intentions (socialism, cooperatives), even if the results are a disaster. Is this Catholic?”

Science or Theology?

Referring to Francis’ attempt to save the earth from climate emergency Sorman asks, “Is this injunction based on science or on theology?” He objects: Does not the Bible invite humanity to subject nature, rather than the contrary? Francis’ ecological fundamentalism strikes Sorman as more pagan than Catholic. His conclusion: “The fundamental criticism one might make of this encyclical is that it is fashionable: Francis proposes a Catholicism of submission to the spirit of the times.”

It is neither science nor theology. It is neo-pagan apocalyptic ideology.

Does anyone know what happened to The Coming Ice Age of the early 1980s?

Marxism is evil in itself. How can those who promote evil be good? I'm sorry, but if Francis really believes that, he can only be an intellectual fool.
Ratsmea
He's not intellectual fool at all, he is the most cunning commie on this earth. He knows so well what his master's agenda is? Check on St. Francis' prophecy and pray hard to Jesus Christ for guarding, uniting, and governing His Roman Catholic Church from the attack of Satan. Deliver us, God from evil.

VATICAN CITY—The Pope has declared that the Catholic Church will no longer accept any donations its members give out of their wealth earned by capitalism.
The declaration takes effect immediately. Catholic parishes are asked to monitor donations given during the offertory. Parishioners are to fill out a form stating where they got the money. If it did not come from the government, but rather, from an evil, capitalist job, the money is to be given back to the church member.

"We don't want your dirty capitalist pig dollars," said Pope Francis. "Keep your money earned by oppressing workers and minorities. Only money earned via equitable redistribution of wealth, in model Christian countries like China and North Korea, will be acceptable to the Lord's Church."
The Pope frantically backtracked on his comments after donations fell to zero dollars.

The above 2 paragraphs are from a satirical internet site. The fact that it is almost believable is indicative of the purely secular non-Catholic borderline Marxist state of affairs emanating from the leadership of the Catholic Church.
