‘Behold my child, see to what ends the sins of man have reduced me. The world has lowered itself in overflowing corruption. The governments of the people have risen like demons incarnated, and, while they speak of peace they prepare for war with the most devastating implements to destroy peoples and nations. Men have become ungrateful to My Sacred Heart, and abusing My Mercy, have transformed the earth into a scene of crime’.

What was the name of this good Sister's Order. I only ask because her heabit looks like a modified Vatican II type modern habit long before that became the general unfortunate model for religious habits.

The Minimum Sisters of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ

The congregation was founded by the blessed Elena Aiello (1895-1961): after an experience at the Sisters of the Precious Blood and after her recovery attributed to the intercession of saint Rita from Cascia, on January 29th 1928 opened with some companions in vico Revocati a Cosenza a kindergarten dedicated to santa Teresa del Bambin Gesù.[ 2 ]
Tomasso Trussoni, archbishop of Cosenza, also entrusted the community with the preparation of the children for the first communion and assistance to the dying. The constitutions of the Minimum of the Passion were approved by congregation for men and women religious January 2 1948 and the congregation received the pontifical decree July 8 1970.[ 2 ]
September 14th 2011 the founder Elena Aiello was beatified.
Activities and dissemination[change | edit wikitext]
.The religious are dedicated to the education and education of youth in schools and boarding schools, to the care of orphans, to assistance to the elderly in rest homes and to help in parishes.[ 2 ]
In addition to Italy, the nuns are present in Switzerland, Brazil, Colombia and Canada;[ 3 ] the house general, from 1937, is in via dei Martiri a Cosenza.[ 1 ]
As of December 31st 2008 the congregation counted 112 religious in 18 houses.[ 1 ]
