It was by Francis' direct intervention that Cardinal Sarah was prevented by the Paris Archbishop from celebrating Mass on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Notre-Dame de Chrétienté in Saint-Roch last Saturday.
This has been suggested by PaixLiturgique.org’s president Christian Marquant. Sarah was replaced by the Benedictine Abbot of Le Baroux, Dom Louis-Marie de Geyer d'Orth (pictures).
De Geyer said in his homily that “providence” has willed him to celebrate that Mass. He greeted Sarah who according to De Geyer "preferred not to celebrate this Mass for diplomatic reasons.”
The Catholic liturgy is above diplomacy.

Every now and then we read reports that Francis has cancer, or that Francis is dying. Doesn't seem to be true. I don't wish serious illness like cancer on anyone, even though I can't stand Francis. Every now and then we read reports that Francis has cancer, or that Francis is dying. Doesn't seem to be true. I don't wish serious illness like cancer on anyone, even though I can't stand Francis. But I think he did this for two reasons. One, because he hates the CAtholic Church, and this large MAss was a celebration of the CAtholic Church and it's traditions and Faith, but also because Francis is afraid of Cardinal Sarah. He knows that CArdinal SArah is very popular. He knows that CArdinal SArah loves the CAtholic Church and CAtholic traditions such as the LAtin MAss. He knows CArdinal Sarah is a powerful voice of the opposition to Francis. And he knows that CAdinal Sarah has a better than average chance of succeeding him, if Francis were to die in the next 6 months or so (which isn't entirely unlikely). So this was an attempt by Francis to discredit CArdinal SArah, to embarass him, to make him look bad in the eys of the Church. Poor Fool, Pope Francis. This will only backfire in his face, and gather even more pwople to the cause of the LAtin MAss and CAtholic tradition, and bring out even more support for CArdinal Sarah....perhaps even in the College of Cardinals.....who might express their admiration and support for the CArdinal by electing him as the next Pope. What a slap in the face to Francis, by then going thru his "eternal reward" what he rightly would deserve.

Why doesn't it seem to be true? Those reports surfaced December of last year and January this year and since Francis' health appeared to decline rapidly, he suddenly cancelled various appointments and trips and ended up in a wheelchair with a full time health assistant and need to even stand or sit down.
His fear of Cardinal Sarah would likely be less if he'd live till Sarah turns 80.
But Parolin …More

But Parolin intervened against the synodal path in Germany without consulting Francis to moderate stuff, the Flemish bishops decided to act by themselves to radicalise further and Grech has suddenly gone from a yes man to subtly (not too subtle though) wink his support for this radical stuff.

Even Fernandez said Francis had little time left in his papacy (said that 3 months ago).

But Francis is still here isn't he? Going to Bahrain next month, isn't he. When on that heretical, idiotic trip to Kazakhstan, didn't he? Is planning for the "Holy Year" of 2025. isn't he. God forbid he's still there. But he doesn't act to sick to me. If I'm proven wrong (which I doubt), I'll be more charitable to the ol' heretic in future posts. Yes, question is for how long.
With Ruth Bader Ginsburg they petended she was healthy and active up to the last second pretty much.
Yeah, Francis does the occassional, extensively pre-planned trip with his private plane with the special health cabin thing in it.
He is planning as if he has a bright future, but beyond the Bahrain trip little stuff is specific or clear.

He seems to think he can make November and is hoping beyond that.

You used to think he was sick right? He has acted like it, with the unexpected cancelling of stuff and the wheelchair and all that. Following asleep during a general audience. Fernandez while repeating the official knee story referenced Francis being ill.

Who is Fernandez? Anyway, yes, he did look like he as failing afer weeks ago, but now he's hobbling with a cane. Afew weeks ago, when I saw him having to be lifted out of his chair like dead weight and then carried to a wheelchair, I would say yes, he won't be around for long. Don't know about now. My uncle who is a cardiologist could probably tell by observation if he's sick....but he looks better to me now, than he did in June-July. I don't wish people dead, of course....but I'd like to see Francis gone in whatever way, and a good guy who loves the Church and tradition elected in his place. Some of the cardinals Francis put in are not as bad as we originally thought, but theres still a bad group similar to "The Squad" in USA politics who would want their man in. Let's all pray they fail.

Traditional Catholicism cannot be united to other creeds, that's why Pope Francis is trying to stamp it out where he can do so.
