Retired Cardinal Severino Poletto of Turin, Italy, stated that Amoris Laetitia did not change Catholic doctrine, “There is not a single line which affirms this.”
Talking to La Fede Quotidiana (November 8) he added, “It seems evident to me that we cannot give communion to those who are in an irregular state, the Magisterium of the Church and Familiaris Consortio say this with clarity."
According to Poletto after Amoris Laetitia “nothing has changed, really nothing.”
