Vatican Archbishop, Move On From The Ban On Contraception
Pro-Gay Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, the president of the Pontifical Academy for Life, has suggested to “re-read” [meaning: abrogate] the encyclical Humanae Vitae (1968) in the light of issues like genetic modification.
According to The Tablet (April 11), Paglia wants to move the focus away from the question whether married couples may use artificial contraception, “We have to widen the horizon.”
Paglia admitted that Paul VI's focus was on contraception but he believes that today this question has become "secondary.”
The birthrate of all [decadent] Western countries has reached a level that puts in question the future of these populations.
