High Ranking US Cleric, Responsible For Homosex Cases, Hooked Up With Men

Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill, who was elected Secretary General of the U.S. Bishops’ Conference only in last November, announced his resignation on July 20 after PillarCatholic.com found evidence the priest engaged in serial homosexual misconduct.

“An analysis of app data signals correlated to Burrill’s mobile device shows the priest also visited gay bars and private residences while using a location-based hookup app in numerous cities from 2018 to 2020, even while traveling on assignment for the U.S. Bishops’ Conference.”

Burrill was the highest-ranking American cleric who is not a bishop. He played a central role in dealing with cases/hoaxes of homosex abuse. It can be excluded that, in the present Council Church, a good man would be appointed to such a position.
He was ordained a priest of La Crosse Diocese, Wisconsin, in 1998 while now Cardinal Raymond Burke was the diocesan bishop there.

We need another St Peter Damien to denounce this diabolical homoeretical filth.

twoweims

Why do we need another one? Why not just listen to the original?

GTVisrockin

Good one less, but more to go.

Big win for the truth and for PillarCatholic. Not everyone can say they made a Monsignor resign. I'm surprised Monsignor Burrill didn't simply claim he was continuing Father Martin's homosexually-themed ministry. :P Visiting the natives "in their natural environment", even if it includes gay-bars, bath-houses, and private homes. Picking up lithe, slender young hitch-hikers "on the road to Emmaus", y'know? If he was using a gay-dating app to find his lost sheep, he should be commended for his original thinking, amirite? :P

So in other words, “Getting the smell of the sheep” eh?

Horrible. Too many of his ilk in the clergy. I fear somewhere way north of 50% of clergy are either pedos or sodos. That’s what it was in my experience in the seminary.

John A Cassani

My experience too.

He got caught and as far as the USCCB is concerned , that's his main crime. Someone just like him will be his replacement. It's business as usual

It's overwhelming to consider that Our Lord chose us to live in these days!

Werte

He was, effectively, the CEO of the USCCB. Furthermore, given how long he was engaged in this behavior, and how widespread it was (including whilst on USCCB business!), it’s nearly inconceivable that some of his confreres and, and even some bishops, didn’t know about this.

De Profundis

I fear his proclivities and activities were well known by those who hired him.
And it is highly likely that many bishops are using the same apps.

Werte

Yea, but let’s abolish the TLM. All about priorities gentlemen
