There Is A SAINT CORONA, And She Is the Patron Saint Against EPIDEMICS

In Anzù, Northern Italy, the hotbed of the coronavirus in Europe, is a basilica where the relics of Saint Victor and Saint Corona are being preserved since the 9th century.

Saint Corona was only fifteen when she professed her Christian Faith during the persecution of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius around 165.

Corona was arrested and tied by her feet to the tops of two palm trees which were bent to the ground. When the palms were let loose she was torn apart. According to the Roman Martyrology, this happened in Syria.

Two investigations in 1943 and 1981, proved that the relics belong indeed to a man and a woman. Cedar pollen was found confirming an original burial in Syria and then in Cyprus.

Saint Corona is especially venerated in Austria and Bavaria as the patron-saint of treasure hunters and against epidemics. Her feast day is May 14.

I have seen several places where St Corona is patron saint of treasure hunters but I can’t find where it states that she is patron saint of epidemics or pandemics. Can someone provide that information for me?

Hi, good point, this was my problem too. But I have found nice info just now. I am very happy to see that st. Corona is really worshiped as patron against epidemics by people in central Europe. I was very afraid that this info was a fake.

At the start I tried to find some text from previous years, confirming info published here, in English laguage- but without success. Then I continued to search in Italian and Spanish language - without success too. But I have found good info in Germany language - info from encyclopedia from 2011: "In Altbayern, Böhmen und Niederösterreich ist die Verehrung seit dem 14. Jahrhundert nachgewiesen, besonders gefördert von den Benediktinern aus Niederaltaich." - "Patronin von Castelfidardo und Osimo; der Schatzgräber und Metzger; gegen Seuchen und Unwetter, für Standhaftigkeit im Glauben; in Geldangelegenheiten, der Lotterie". This post that I am now making is slightly unusual from the ordinary practice of commenting on the main article itself which in this case is There Is A SAINT CORONA.

The unusually large amount of views for this article (73K+) indicates that many, many people from somewhere else are visiting our little GTV website.

I think I have discovered that site. In fact, that site is my favorite conservative Trump supporting political site and commentary on the internet. The posters there are smart and astute observers of the political landscape. However, many of them are as dumb as rocks when it comes to matters of religion. 🤪

That is not an exaggeration. Many of them are naive, bigoted, bible thumping jerks who are so biased they can no longer see or even desire to see and to search for the truth. They already think they know that the Catholic belief that the saints are not dead is incorrect. The bible tells them so. The only problem is that the bible does not say that. It’s just the opposite actually. 😱

I figured that sooner or later a few of them would be coming to little GTV to see the original article about Saint Corona so I decided to say a fond “Hello and welcome” to my fellow true believers and God help the rest of you. 😘

The faith of the Church is that the saints are not really dead, but are fully alive in Jesus Christ, who is life itself (John 11:25; 14:6) and the bread of life who bestows life on all who eat his flesh and drink his blood (John 6:35, 48, 51, 53-56). The saints are alive in heaven because of the life they have received through their faith in Christ Jesus and through their eating of his body and blood.

The book of Revelation shows the saints worshipping God, singing hymns, playing instruments, making requests to Christ to avenge their martyrdom, and offering prayers for the saints on earth (Rev. 4:10, 5:8, 6:9-11).
Because they are alive, we believe that we can go to them to intercede for us with God. We do not need to see apparitions or hear their voices in order to believe they will pray for us in heaven. We trust that the saints will accept our requests for help and will present them to Christ for us.

Saint Sebastian is also a patron of plague sufferers. His feast day (maybe in the old calendar) is January 20th. That is the same day that the Chinese government announced they had human-to-human transmission, essentially implying they had an epidemic.

But here it is, the epidemic of the crown virus is not natural but Masonic, which changes everything.
« In Syria, St. Victor and the Holy Crown, martyrs, under Emperor Antoninus. Victor was tormented by Judge Sebastian, in many equally horrible ways. At the same time she saw two crowns fall from the sky, one for Victor, one for her; which, having assured all present, she was dismembered between two trees, and Victor was beheaded. »

I have some questions about your post that you have repeated ad nauseam. 🤪
1) What was the pestilence that you speak of in your post?
2) What are the individual names of the “nuns of St. Clare.”
3) Where are the “many places” that have been likewise preserved from contagions by that particular prayer?
4) If the “nuns of St. Clare” actually did say this prayer, how do you know that the …More

Clare” actually did say this prayer, how do you know that the prayer was the primary factor that stopped the undefined pestilence? Could other factor/s been involved or even had more importance that you fail to mention? Mass, communion, prayer before the Sacrament, for example?
5) Can you site 2 or more independent sources (not blogs but reputable news sites) that affirm the pestilence that you write of and the nuns’ action in stopping "contagion instantly ceased" the pestilence?

You have posted the identical message approximately 60 times at GTV during the last week. To my knowledge, before you, no poster has ever shown the lack of appropriateness and ego which you have displayed.

Your posts are a perfect display of a zealot, a fanatic who has last their sense of balance and lost the state of conforming to conventionally accepted standards of behavior. Rational people don’t do what you are doing but realize that they are - by making post after post after post repeated so often - that the posts and they themselves have become annoying and tiresome. Your repeated posts of the identical unverified message is doing the exact opposite of what you (presumably) hope to achieve. 🥴
