Gänswein Calls Appointment to Costa Rica "Fake News"

Archbishop Georg Gänswein hopes that Francis will give him a new post by Pentecost, he said at a book presentation at Vienna's Herderverlag (Orf.at, 17 April).

He does not believe he will be sent as nuncio to Costa Rica: "I just think it's fake news. I don't know anything about it."

In early March, Francis told him he needed "some more time" to find a new assignment for Gänswein.
