Rupnik's perversions aside, the 'artwork' has little or no merit of itself and I think is unsuitable for a shrine. I think that Rupnik has done some work at Fatima as well.

@philosopher the issue is NOT just an "artist" who lived a "sordid life" like Michelangelo is reputed to have done. It's a priest who coerced nuns to have sex with him and did so as a mockery of the Most Holy Trinity. Diabolical!!! TEAR IT DOWN!!!

I'm not against the removal of the mosaics by a perverted artist but many of the Renaissance artist lived sordid lives. For example, Caravaggio murder a man in a drunken dispute and was a whoremongerer. Bernini was also a womanizer. Many of their works are in the churches of Rome.
