“Kansas-Catholic” published on November 24 on Twitter an email, an unnamed chaplain of the Fraternity of St Peter wrote to his parishioners.
The email asks the faithful to avoid "useless speculation” about the validity of Benedict’s resignation and the validity of Francis’ election.
According to the chaplain such speculations have "no clear basis in discernible reality" and "border on insanity.”
In recent months retired US Bishop René Gracida and Monsignor Nicola Bux, a friend of Benedict XVI, questioned Benedict's resignation and therefore the validity of Francis’ election.
The FSSP has in Kansas two houses, one in Westwood (chaplain: Fr John Fongemie) and one in Maple Hill (chaplain: Fr Eric Flood).

Respectfully said: It is over and done with....let us move on. We are not brining back Benedict XVI to the papacy.

The discussion is about this. Benedict XVI used on Februar 11, 2013 in Latin the word renounce and not resign. The verb renounce is transitive. He renounced ministerium. In Latin that is the exercise of office.

Three questions re. Francis being Pope:
1) Was Benedict's resignation legal and legitimate?
2) If so, was Francis' election legitimate (re. rigging of the conclave).
3) If it was, has he now anathematized himself from the Faith?

The faithful senses ( the sensei fidei,) that something wasn't right with the manner Pope Benedict resigned and something is not right with Pope Francis. It is not insanity if we pay attention to those who can give some light to this unprecendted transition of Papal authority.

Not so sure that borders on insanity Father.

Hello "Anonymous" FSSP Priest. It's immaterial! We need to leave it to those trained to discern such things. Hello "Anonymous" FSSP Priest. It's immaterial! We need to leave it to those trained to discern such things. It astounds me that you call us "Insane" for knowing that Francis is clearly not a valid Pope - Msgr Bux realises that too or he would not be suggesting a total examination of Pope Benedict's resignation. With the RCC spouting forth Doctrines more acceptable to Satan than Christ - I venture to make the point that it's not us - who are insane. it's YOU! It is obvious the direction his Papacy is taking that he is not a valid Pope.
Examine History. Borgia - for all the scandal - did not commit a heresy? Why not? Because he was validly elected. I heard of another Pope who bought his way into the Pontificate - and upon election changed his views of what he was hoping to achieve and died a TRUE none-heretical Pope. Let's face it. Some rotters have reigned as Pope, yet being VALIDLY ELECTED - Our Lord drew in the reins and everything was fine - the Church had no major problems from their bought Pontificates BECAUSE THEY WERE VALIDLY ELECTED!
Leave it to Msgr Bux etc..... For Heaven's Sake. Keep out of it!
