@Ultraviolet Vigano's letter is clearly condemning the statements and action of Pope Francis. He is descriptive in his explication of the Pope and bad Sheppards who have embraced modernism, even using Fancis' own language. If some were to accurately describe with such precision my own style of teaching in the classroom, without using my name, I would still know they were talking about me b/c no other instructor in my department uses some of the phrases that I use or the same pedagogical activities. The Pope is no fool and has to know to whom Vigano is criticizing. Not using someone's name may be a technicality that will save your neck in a court of cannon law but subtlety it is not!

Actually Abp. Vigano carefully avoids a direct response just as Pope Francis avoided an overt support for homosexuality while praising Fr. Martin.
