Did Francis Permit Bishops' Ordinations For PiusX?
A rumour circulating since March substantiates: Francis is permitting the consecration of several bishops for the Society of PiusX.
Jeff Cassman and Jim De Piante, two laymen close to the Society, wrote on social media (May 31) referring to a credible source that "the Society of Saint Pius X will be consecrating bishops in June 2023 with the permission of Pope Francis."
Among the likely candidates is the Society's superior, Fr Davide Pagliarani.

The SSPX may not be formally in union with Rome, but I've got a gut feeling there is a clique that is pushing this agenda.
To consecrate bishops without the approval of the pope is a schismatic act. If there is no pope, well, that's a different question.
Fortunately for Holy Mother Church, there is a duly elected Supreme Pontiff and Successor to Saint Peter seated on the Petrine Throne, serving as the Vicar of Christ on earth, in the Apostolic See: His Holiness, Pope Francis I, our beloved Holy Father.
Just typical hogwash from know it all sspx lay people. Nothing new.
I'd support the SSPX priests,religious, and lay people before I'd support Pope Francis and his homo crew of associates and appointees any day.
Rafat Ovile, you misunderstand His Grace archbishop Lefebrve - he attempted to co-operate with Rome as far as he could go. And in essense he did have permission to consecrate bishops; it was the traditional candidates he chose that Rome bulked at. Spiritually though, his heart and mind was united with Rome and he never saw it as a "shameful dishonour" to try and work with his own Church. It broke his heart to be forced in such a corner. I hope the rumour is true and that yes, Pope Francis is permitting the consecration of SSPX bisops. What a wonderful conclusion to Archbishop Lefebrve's amazing legacy :)
It would be shameful and dishonor to have permission for consecration from uncanonically elected highly probable antipope when Abp Lefebrve did consecrations without permission of valid pope. Especially if Franicis' pontificate would be abrogated...
I don't know if any of us will be around to see it (but I'm just 28), but abrogating the reign of a pope etc takes time. I'm sure they would pick thru all the minute details of Bergoglio's reign before actually declaring him a heretic and apostate and abrogate his entire reign.....which I'm sure will happen years from now.
Well, that's at least one good thing Bergoglio would have done in his term as Pope...allowing for the consecration of more SSPX bishops (hopefully at least 6). After all, they, and perhaps also sede vacantist bishops, as well as a handful of established Vatican II bishops who oppose Francis in general, are the only authentic Catholic bishops in the world.
Williamson wrote about this (including the fake news that the bishops are FORMER members of SSPX) on Saturday.
I hope Williamson was wrong about that, but it’s too soon to say that it’s fake news, in whole or in part. If it’s Pagliarani, along with 2 former SSPX priests, I think Williamson’s comment stands. If it’s three current SSPXers, then he’s wrong.
I hope they get six new bishops. That's how much the SSPX and those faithful to it has grown.
