There are two aspects to the Beatific Vision. Primarily, it is seeing God face to face. Secondarily, it is seeing whatever God wants us to see. For example, if we see someone whom we loved who was condemned, we nevertheless see him within the overwhelming infinite love (and thus happiness) of God.
