Cowardly Francis: "Mosaic Law" Becomes "Law of God"

Francis transmitted greetings for the upcoming Jewish New Year at the September 5 Angelus, wishing that for believing Jews "the new year may be rich in fruits of peace and good for all who walk faithfully in the Law of the Lord” - as he re-branded what during the August 11 General Audience he called the "Mosaic law."

During that audience he said correctly that the Mosaic law "profits nothing" and "doesn’t give life” while those who seek life need to look for the Law’s fulfilment in Christ.

Saint Paul explains that walking "faithfully" in the Mosaic Law is impossible without Christ. However, since the Jewish lobby - unlike the Catholic lobby - is very powerful, a cowardly Francis was afraid of picking a fight preferring instead to betray the Faith.
