Abuse Allegations: Francis Embarrasses Again

IlSismografo recalls that “many shadows” hang over Gisana's handling of abuse allegations against Father Giuseppe Rugolo whose trial will be decided in January.
During his trial, Rugolo played a secretly recorded tape in which Gisana says [for whatever reason and in whatever context], “Dear Giuseppe, you have all the conditions to become a saint.”
In the same recording, Gisana told Rugolo that there was another priest in the diocese “who has done much worse things than you did.”
Rugolo explained that the thousands of pornographic photographs on his computer, including of very young children, were the result of a “test” he had privately put himself through to try to understand himself.
"The [porn] pages would open by themselves and even when I tried to close them, I couldn't do it,” he explained. He has reported all media activists who have accused him of wrongdoing to the police.
Furthermore, in July, a catechist from Gisana’s diocese, went on trial for abuse. The complainant claimed to have informed the bishop who denied it.
