At the General Audience on November 28, a seven-year-old mute boy reached the stage where Pope Francis was speaking, and started playing with the hand of a Swiss Guard who stood near Francis.
At one point, the boy’s Argentine-Italian mother went on stage to fetch her son. Francis replied to her, “Let him be, let him be”, adding, that we should all be “free as little children”.
Turning to Archbishop Georg Gänswein, Pope Francis added, “He's Argentinian, he has no discipline.”
