Despite the Pope’s direct intervention and the rite’s significance, Vatican News made no mention of the event. Critics, particularly Silere non possum, accuse Vatican media of obeying internal power dynamics—especially those of Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, the Archpriest of St. Peter’s—rather than truth. The silence is portrayed as part of a broader pattern of censorship and mismanagement within the Vatican’s communications, contrasting with the seriousness of the desecration and the Church’s duty to uphold transparency and reverence.

Security at the Vatican needs to be strengthened to prevent worsening attacks.

The disgusting act was certainly a deliberate provocation, but it wasn't really a desecration. What WAS a desecration was the Pachamama Mass, and everyone Inside is still pretending that didn't happen.

Plus the "gay pilgrimage" FtR (blank the rules) fiasco was just as nefarious as the Pachamama 'worship.' Interesting the Vatican is ONLY focusing on the demonic acting out of individuals and NOT the officially organized events that scandalized the faithful the world over! One can make a very good case the latter led to the former.

Yes, it was a desecration.
