VICTORY! Gaystapo Bill Thrown Out

On October 27, the Italian Senate threw out the oppressive Zan law by voting to halt examination of its articles, thus blocking its progress through parliament.

The law, named after the neo-Communist Italian MP Alessandro Zan, sought to shield homosex propaganda from being debunked. The Lower House had approved the bill, and the decadent Vatican had “in no way asked to block” it.

Among others, the law wanted to impose "National Days Against Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia” - also on Catholic schools.

A phobia is usually learned reactionary (some fearful event). For more impressionable people it can come from stories and the like.

Prejudice is something entirely different. It is generally taught. And often intentional.

Being afraid of something that seems scary (Phobia) should not be removed. It should be cultured to be correctly managed. It is generally an Emotional reaction.

Prejudice has many forms... here are two.

- Beneficial prejudice: sorry... if I see a great big tiger running freely toward me... I accept and appreciate my innate prejudice as a form of survival. Conversely... I do not fear the 17 y/o cat I feed meds and fluids each night because of an organ failure.
- Destructive prejudice: In my neighborhood as a pre-teen, I was 'the' 'white guy' ("weddo"). As such, I experienced a few destructive prejudices as one can expect.
- Preferential prejudice: Being a person with English as a first language, I was given preferential prejudice by much of the education system as a pre-teen. I was given more privileges, more attention, ... heck... I was easy and eager to learn! Easy route to back pats.

In short... even the name is wrong... how can the balance of the bill be any better?
