@salliperson --NO, not for well over a century. Maybe you are trying to deflect blame for all this corruption away from the Vatican II Church, but it won't work. I read reports of priest/sex abuse in the Church dating back to 1931. It the period between 1931-61 there were 72 known cases of priestly sexual abuse, usually between women or young girls. These were USA cases. Seventy-two cases covering 30 years. Between 1965 and present, there are over 25,000 cases in the USA between priests and young women, girls, AND for the first time, teenage and young men. After 1979 it is usually cases of priests with young men.
Many times, priests who were guilty of this were put on "sick leave" by their archbishops, nd not assigned other pastoral duties. The more liberal the bishop, the more likely he was to overlook these cases, and assign the priest to pastoral ministry somewhere else.
The "good" or conservative bishops removed them from active service, the progressives let them continue, shuffling them around many times. BERGOGLIO was one of those.
The problem exploded after the "reforms" of Vatican II were implemented, and especially when the Novus Ordo Missae became the standard form of worship.
Paul VI defrocked afew priests. JPII did little, or nothing during most of his 25+ reign. He was more interested in traveling, and delegated these things to his progressive Vatican Cardinals, who chose to do nothing. An entire network f homo priests infiltrated the Vatican offices, and dioceses during the term of JPII. His progressive (and perhaps homosexual) bishops and Nuncios recruited more homos for seminaries, and postings of importance.
Benedict XVI immediatly tried to put an end to the homo influence in the Vatican, and in the Church. It was he who issued a Motu Proprio disallowing homos to enter seminaries and novitiates/monasteries. But this was mostly ignored by Homo bishops. Benedict XVI initiated an investigation of the Homo influence in the Vatican, and assigned Archbishop Vigano to carry out the investigation in the Vatican, alone with several conservative leaning Cardinals. The dossier of the findings were presented to Benedict XVI in 2012, who found the report overwhelming. It was enormously scandelous, and indicted many bishops and Cardinals in the Vatican, and in dioceses, all appointed by JPII.
For whtever reason, less than six months later, Benedict XVI resigned. Perhaps he was threatened by the Homo mob in the Vatican if he initiated a huge housecleaning /expulsion of them.
The report was given to Francis....WHO HAS EITHER DISCARDED IT, OR PUT IT ASIDE. FOR THE NEXT POPE. Regardless, he has not dealt with it....and has allowed the Homo influence in the Vatican and throughout the Church to expand.
Let us pray that the next Pope really does take action. Expel all Homos from the Vatican, fire all Homo bishops and priests, and ban Homos from entering seminaries and religious Orders.
